Responsible return to trading
So as May progresses we as a business and the housing market are starting to take the first tentative steps out of lockdown.
We continued to operate during this time using all of the technology available to us and our clients, and we’re pleased to say business carried on albeit in a very different way. Most people’s priority, and rightly so, was keeping themselves and family safe and staying home.
What was interesting was that we had continued and growing interest in people viewing homes for sale online and indeed a lot of current research has shown that whilst we stayed at home, people were thinking about moving home still, and had extra time to look online.
As we move to the next phase we know that people are still keen to keep current house chains moving, and for those looking to buy and sell they want to understand how they can do so safely.
We’ve now put in place a number of steps to make sure everyone involved in the process whether that be valuations or viewings stays as safe as possible, they are:
1 - Confirming that you or anyone who you are living with are not experiencing any Coronavirus symptoms – and for people to advise us if this situation changes before a viewing is due to take place.
2 - Social distancing to be maintained wherever possible.
3 - Protective gloves and a face covering should be worn.
4 - Viewings are restricted to two viewers only plus the agent/vendor.
5 - Viewings are limited to approx 15 minutes.
6 – With safety in mind we will not be conducting back to back interviews or open day viewings
Also if you are considered to be in vulnerable group or a higher risk person then we are still very happy to offer our virtual valuations and virtual viewings, please just enquire in the usual way to make a ‘virtual’ appointment.
We are not only a local Independent Estate Agent we are also very much part of the community as a team who all live as well as work locally and that’s why we’ve put safety at the heart of how we are now working. We have had great support so far in our approach and we hope that as we start to work towards the ‘new normal’ we can help everyone involved in the process navigate their way through. With nearly 30 years experience we feel we’re in a good position to do so.
To make coming back to work even better this week we have also agreed 4 sales proving that even in such challenging times there is a demand for people to move to our wonderful village.
So, if you would like to discuss with us how the process of selling your home will work now, and the current market conditions please do get in touch with us.
