Awarding our community stars

At Roger Coupe we are extremely proud of our local roots. For the past 25 years we have served the south Surrey/West Sussex border area, gaining an enviable reputation for our experience, expertise and knowledge of the towns and villages we cover.

As a firm that’s truly in touch with the community we also like to get involved with local events such as the Cranleigh In Bloom competition, Christmas lights switch on and Santa Run. Through these we have also got to see first hand the excellent work residents in the area do.

So we thought it was about time that we recognised all those in our community who go and above and beyond for their fellow neighbour, and that is why we have now launched our inaugural Star Awards.

These accolades aim to award those unsung heroes who keep our neighbourhoods ticking over and we are now inviting the public to put forward names for our first title – community star.

This award aims to recognise those who work tirelessly for the benefit of others. Maybe your best friend is the brains behind the village fete - and makes sure it runs every year come rain or shine - your neighbour spends their weekends litter picking or your newsagent coaches the local football club. Whatever it is your community star does, we want to hear from you.

James Britton, one of our partners, says:

“Having lived in the area for 20 years I, and the rest of the Roger Coupe team, are well aware of the excellent work done by residents, volunteers, charities and groups across the south Surrey/West Sussex area. These community heroes work away quietly, often without fanfare, but we felt it was important to recognise and acknowledge what they do for so many others. This is why we have launched our Star Awards.

“We’re keen to hear from as many people as possible with their nominations for a community star, so get your thinking cap on and get in touch.”

Nominations can be made by emailing starawards@pmwcom.co.uk or by filling in a form at our Cranleigh High Street branch. When sending in your nominations please include a short description of your nominee, why they deserve to win, their contact details and where they live. Please also include your own name and contact details. Nominations can be made until midnight on Wednesday, October 19.

The winners will be decided through a public vote and presented with a trophy and prize. The Star Awards will be continuing over the next 12 months with titles for star teacher, star garden, star pupil and star volunteer.

Keep an eye on our latest news to find out about the community star award winner and how you can get involved in future nominations. For more information about our estate agency services contact us here.
