We at Roger Coupe are committed to the communities we serve and are always looking at ways to support our neighbours and local good causes. With Christmas fast approaching we were keen to spread some festive cheer – so have teamed up with Surrey charity Jigsaw to help give a group of youngsters a very merry yule.

Jigsaw is the charity behind the Jigsaw School – an independent education hub for children with autism. For the last five years the school has run a Christmas toy appeal, inviting supporters to buy a gift for pupils via online retailer Amazon. The presents then get sent directly to the school’s Dunsfold base.

But for 2016’s appeal we have teamed up with the charity, so supporters and friends of Jigsaw will be able to physically choose and buy their gift and drop it off at our office in Cranleigh High Street.

We are collecting presents from November 19 until December 19 and all the donated presents will then be presented to pupils before they break up for Christmas. (Please see a list below of suitable presents for Jigsaw pupils).

Steven Morgan, fundraising officer at Jigsaw, says the charity is “thrilled” to have us supporting them. He added: “Giving people a chance to physically pick their present for Jigsaw and then wrap it makes the whole experience really personal.”

We are really looking forward to welcoming people with toys for Jigsaw and seeing the children’s faces when we hand them over, and we hope Surrey and Sussex residents will get behind this campaign.

Last year more than 100 gifts were to Jigsaw but we are hoping with our support the charity will be able to smash this total.

People are welcome to drop presents into our office throughout the week. We are open 8.30am – 6.30pm Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm on Saturdays and 10.30am – 12.30pm on Sundays.
